Could this technology be used to plaster holograms over the faces of people who do not want to be identified?    If one could generate plasma around oneself, then a hologram could be projected onto the plasma as a disguise.  Holograms and moving images can be projected onto fog, clouds, gas, or many kinds of particles.  You can see how one method works at http://www.fogscreen.com.

An invisibility cloak works by projecting the background onto the front of your invisiblity garment. (http://science.howstuffworks.com/invisibility-cloak.htm and http://science.howstuffworks.com/framed.htm?parent=invisibility-cloak.htm&url=http://csdl2.computer.org/comp/proceedings/ismar/2003/2006/00/20060348.pdf).  Plasma cloaking and invisibility cloaking techniques could be combined -- a cool, plasma cloud around one could be used for reflecting the background behind you onto the front of you thereby making it seem as if you were invisible.

This could be right handy if one wanted to get close enough to someone to use a dissolution of memory device (missing time) or a knock-out drug on a person and then stuff them full of implants.  Don't laugh; they can hide whole fighter jets with plasma -- the patent and articles about the tech is on this site.
